We’re seeking a Mowing Crew Member to join our mowing team, carry out top-notch service under our Lawn Care Lead, and grow into a leadership role as we expand from 2 crews to 5 by 2027. This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of a driven, community-focused company.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Carry Out Service: Starting March 31, work on a 2-or-more-person crew through a busy season—spring cleanups (supporting our project leader, Tim), dock installations (labor support), mowing routes (May-Oct, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F), dock removals (fall), and leaf cleanups (Nov).

• Focus on Quality: Follow the Lead’s direction to deliver consistent, high-quality work on our pre-set schedule (booked through Halloween).

• Learn the Ropes: Get trained by the Lawn Care Lead, work safely, and pick up skills to step up over time.

• Support the Team: Use our equipment to keep properties looking sharp, report any issues, and help with routine maintenance to keep things running smooth.

Who You Are:

• Some lawn care experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn matter most.

• Reliable and physical—mowing, cleanups, and docks take stamina and attention to detail.

• A team player who takes direction well and wants to grow.

• Ready to handle equipment and tackle whatever the weather throws at you.

• Local to Kaleva/Bear Lake/Manistee area (or willing to commute and show up on time).

 

What We Offer:

• Competitive Pay: $15-$20/hour to start, paired with a Lawn Care Lead (combined budget of $40/hour). Direct deposit, biweekly through Paychex.
